You probably have heard of article marketing, blog commenting, and Squidoo to promote your website. These are good ways to promote your site but they are not the only ways to promote your websites. I will show you five new ways that you probably have never heard of to get your website even higher in the search engines.

One way to get a high quality backlink is to submit your website to Netscape. Netscape has a pr of 9 which means this site holds a lot of strength in the search engines. Putting your link here will show your website to be very important as well. You will have to write a good article that is relevant to your website and it must be good quality and not spam. If its not good enough they will remove your link or people who visit the website have the power to remove your article as well. So make sure that you write some good material about your website to make sure it sticks.

You can also submit a press release to prweb.com. Prweb is a press release website that you can submit your own press release about your website. It is also a powerful website and is respected by the search engines. Just like Netscape you must submit good quality press releases and meet the requirements of the website. Every time you add something to your website or make alterations to it you could submit a press release and talk about your website. This is a really great way to get a quick high quality backlink to your website. I would suggest to try it and see if helps your website get higher in the search engines.

Submitting your website to directories is also a good way to get some high quality backlinks. This doesn’t work as good as it did in the early days of the internet, but it still is a great way to get some links to your website. There are a couple of things you could do. You can submit to relevant directories or you can submit your site to more powerful directories such as Dmoz or Yahoo etc. Dmoz is a directory site which has hundreds of websites all in different categories which makes it easier for people or search engines to find your website. You could also search in Google for relevant directories. If your website was about finance you could type this into the Google search bar: “finance add URL”. By typing this in you could find some directories where you could submit your website and get a good backlink to your website. You want to avoid directories that make you pay for submitting your website. Whenever you submit to directories there is no guarantee that your website will be added to their directory whether you pay for it or not.

These were just three ways to get some high quality backlinks to your websites. High quality backlinks will last for a long time and your website will remain high in the search engines for a long time. There are only four ways to make money online and I am going to cover all four of them in this article. So, if you ever wondered exactly how people make money on the Internet, you are about to find out.

So, what are the four ways to make money online? They are - Tools, Information, Programs and Products. Now let me say this right now, I don’t care what it is that someone does on the Internet to make an income, it will always fall into one of these four categories.

I will go in to more detail about each one as we continue, but right now let me give you a brief overview. The best way to do this is to pick a business idea and then break it down into the four ways to make money online. So, I am going to pick “Gold Mining” only because a business that is no longer active is best in this case. See, whenever I talk about a specific or current business on a real topic, everyone reading the information immediately goes out and starts using the business ideas instead of trying to be original and different. I want to challenge you to slow down and think about what you are going to learn and then apply it to something that you have given real thought to. With that being said, let’s continue with our explanation.

Let’s start with our business that we selected and then explain the ways to make money online with that business.

Business: Gold Mining, this is the business we have chosen to be a part of. Now we can either be an active Gold Miner or we can chose a specific aspect of Gold Mining for our way of making money.

The way to make money online number one:

Tools: Do we want to sell the tools that are needed in order to be a Gold Miner? (ie. shovels, picks, hammers, buckets, lanterns, sifters, dynamite etc.) I think you get the idea. On the Internet this would be like specialized software and normally requires an expertise in that area in order to be successful selling tools. You could do this as an affiliate, someone who gets paid to sell other peoples stuff. That would be the only way you could make money in this way without having the ability to create software applications.

The way to make money online number two:

Information: Do we want to sell the maps, instruction on how to mine, books on what gold looks like and the difference between it and fools gold, insight on whether mine digging or stream sifting is the best etc. Online this would be selling what are called ebooks or electronic books. These are easy to create yourself on any topic that you have expertise in or you can also sell other peoples information via affiliate programs or what are called private label rights. That is where you purchase the rights to the information and then can resell it over and over again and keep 100% of the profits.

The way to make money online number three:

Programs: These are franchises where we get a commission for everyone who joins. There are several available mines that are for sale and we promote them for the owners and receive money for recruiting others. On the Internet these programs come in several sizes and shapes. You could pick anything from a MLM program, a Network Marketing program, Cash Gifting, a 1up or 2 up program a Multi tiered Matrix program or anything else you come across. The main problem with joining programs online, is that there are a lot of scams out there and the untrained eye has a very hard time telling the difference. I would only join a program that was recommended by someone that I trust and feel comfortable giving my money to.

The way to make money online number four:

Products: These are items that are not directly related to the business. They are just items that people want or need. (ie. Boots, jeans or overalls, food, cooking supplies, cigarettes, blankets, tent etc.) This would be like setting up an online store where you sell whatever you want like; jewelry, shoes, clothes, electronics, books really just about anything you want. Most people set up a website and sell several different items there. You could even purchase products wholesale and sell them on an auction site like ebay.

In conclusion, you now know the only ways to make money online. The first thing you need to do if you are wanting to get started making money on the Internet is to pick which method best fits what you want to do. Don’t do what everyone else is doing just to be doing something. Select the way that best fits your personality and demeanor. By doing so you will improve your chances of success greatly, since you will have a passion and an interest in that type of business.

Taking surveys probably won’t make you a millionaire, but it can help you with monthly bills and help get you out of some debt.

Auction Sites - This is a great way to start making some money online and is super easy to do. All you need to do is sign up with top auction sites such as Ebay and Amazon. Gather up the things that you already own that you either no longer use or want. Once you gather these things, you can now sell them for pure profit.

Affiliate Marketing - I would say this is the most popular and profitable way to make money online. Affiliate marketing is when you market someone else’s product (s) and for every sell generated by you, you’ll receive a commission. The earning potential for affiliate marketing is limitless. It really all depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put in to it.

Learning how to make money online is not as hard as some may think. If you are serious about bringing in some more income, I would recommend taking at deeper look at the options listed above. Each money making method listed above can easily be learned and will get you some nice results. Just remember, you do not have to be a computer wizard to start making money online.

It’s easy to make money online…just follow the steps.

Yeah, yeah, you’ve heard it all before right? I’m here to tell you that making money on the internet is easier than ever before.

You just have to make sure you don’t deviate from these steps. I know it’s super distracting out there but if you have the desire, then please…just follow these steps…

1) Create Or Promote…Something! Look, you’re not going to make any money unless you sell something, a book, a CD, a DVD…anything. Of course the best part is that it doesn’t have to be something you’ve created. You can simply sign up as an affiliate for someone else’s product and go from there.

One of my favourite places to find products is the Clickbank marketplace. Here you can find tons of digital products all with large affiliate payouts.

2) Drive traffic to an offer. This is where you get folks to look at your product or the one you are promoting.

Now, you can get them there directly or you can get them to a landing page of your own. Basically set up a page where you pre-sell the product or talk about your experience with the product. Of course if you’re selling your own item then you’ll want to send folks directly to your sales page.

Which leads me to my third point…

3) Convert Those Browsers. You’re getting surfers to look at your offers - now you need to turn those people into buyers. How do you do this if it’s not your own product? Simple, just make sure the copy on the vendor’s page is good enough (you’ll soon learn what makes good copy) and keep putting the offer in front of them by signing your prospects up to a mailing list.

On your landing page, insert a subscription box for a newsletter or mini-guide. Give the folks good content and every now and again, send them to the offer.

If you’re promoting your own product simply make sure the copy is persuasive. You may need to hire a copywriter to do this or learn how to write copy yourself. Look our for Victor Schwab’s book How To Write A Good Advertisement if it’s the latter option you’re after.

So there you have it, choose or create a product, get traffic to it, make your offer a good one. That’s all there is to it, you’ve just got to get started…
