Driving a car involves some expenses like insurance and gas money. What would you say if I told you that not only you don’t have to pay, but you can actually earn money by driving your vehicle as you normally do? This is possible if you sign up for car advertising. Basically, you will have to place ads on your automobile and allow it to be seen by many people. Many companies such as Coca Cola, Proctor & Gamble, Kraft Foods and Nikon are willing to pay you in order to help them gain more exposure for their products.

Keep in mind that some companies give away free cars, already wrapped in advertisements. The contract lasts 2-5 years and after that you can decide if you want to choose a new one. The best thing you can do when starting is to sign up with an agency that will find you the best deals.

Here are 10 jobs for 14 year olds to make some extra money in their spare time:

1)Wash Windows

A bucket of warm water with a little vinegar in it and a squeegee is all it takes to make money washing windows.

Who has the time any more to wash windows? I know I don’t!

That’s why I happily pay my teens to do the dirty work!

You can charge by the window, for example $5 dollars per window, or by the hour. The money adds up quickly. Try putting up a local flyer in the grocery store, library, etc.

2) Clean Out the Attic or Basement

Isn’t it amazing how much stuff you can accumulate? Most homes are stuffed to the roof tops with junk!

Teens can haul in the cash by cleaning out other people’s junk. And some of it can be recycled for even more cash.

Remember, a cluttered home is a cluttered mind!

3) Mow the Lawn or shovel the drive-way

This may seem obvious – but I’m always AMAZED at how many dads I see mowing their lawns…or shoveling the sidewalk – instead of Johnny Junior!

Besides being great exercise, mowing the lawn or shoveling the walk is good money and good exercise for an ambitious 14 year old.

4) Odd Painting Jobs

Got walls? This is WELL worth paying for!

Many homeowners have a room in their house they’d like to spruce up with a fresh coat of paint. But they don’t have the time or huge outlay of cash to pay a professional painter. But they can afford to pay a teen $50 to $75 dollars for a good job.

And if you’re willing to paint ceilings, you can make even more. Just make sure you have plenty of drop cloths to cover the floor in case of drips.

5) Pool Guy

If you have a pool or jacuzzi, you KNOW that it takes WORK to keep it clean. You can set up weekly or monthly pool cleanings with neighbors. Target a neighborhood with 3 to 4 pools so you can save time and gas by doing at the same time.

6) Brush Clearing

My mother-in-law is always on the look out for strong, reliable teens who want to earn extra money clearing away brush and debri.

Matthew, my 12 year old, just made $20 bucks for a few hours work!

7) Garden Tilling

Every spring and fall, I hire my son Tony to till the vegetable garden. It’s an easy way to earn extra money at home or even around the neighborhood.

Bookkeeping

This is not only a great way to earn extra money, but an invaluable and useful skill to learn. That is – if you’re feeling brave with the bills!

9) Landscaping projects or Plant Doctor

Do you have sort of a green thumb? Are you reliable?

Both business owners and home owners need someone to water their indoor plants regularly or when they go on vacation. This is an easy, fun way to make some extra cash.

Or if you have a strong back, you could break out the shovels and beautify yards with a tea rose garden, raised flower bed, or small gold fish pond!

There are so many creative ways to make money these days that it is sometimes hard to know where to start. If you are looking for such creative ways, first evaluate your skills. What are your talents? Then, try to use these skills and talents so that you will have an interesting,  sustainable way to make money over the long haul.

Here are 10 creative ways to make money to get your own idea flowing.

1. If you can write, provide writing services for clients. Find your clients by using any of the various online services such as Craigs List to post simple ads that will attract people interested in your services.
2. Clean out your attic, garage and whole of your house and sell your stuff on eBay.
3. Create some flyers and distribute in your neighborhood with services that you would be willing to provide. Some services are babysitting, running errands, yard work, shoveling snow, tending flower beds, walking dogs, pet sitting.
4. Teach a class at your local community center on something that you know about that people would be interested in. Such as exercising, yoga, making things: quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting.
5. Advertising in your local paper to help people plan their wedding. If you have some organizational skills or know how to throw a good party you could pull this off. Streamline what you would be willing to do, such as research:  look for places to have the event, look where to find things for the wedding, etc. You could even prepare all the invitations for mailing. Get creative.
6. Market yourself as a personal shopper. This is especially useful during the holiday seasons.
7. During the holidays sell yourself as a personal chef where you would go to someones house and prepare their entire holiday meal and decorate the house.
8. Start a specialty housekeeping service where you would clean and decorate peoples homes for a special event. Perhaps a bachelor wants to bring home a date.
9. Sell custom T-shirts at events or flee market. Pick popular in-season themes, such as when Obama won the election, you could sell T-shirts with Obama’s pictures.
