Success Through Perseverance

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 2:00 pm

attractingmoney Success Through PerseveranceIn today’s world there is one critical component to achieving the success you desire in your life. The necessary component is having a mindset for success. Without the correct mindset you won’t achieve the success you desire.

So what is the correct mindset you ask?

The correct mindset begins with perseverance. Without perseverance your chances of success become a lot slimmer.

Why?

Because without perseverance you won’t be willing to stand up to the many trials you will face in your journey. To understand the importance of perseverance you only have to look at some of the greatest success stories of the last 100 years.

First up is an obvious one if you have looked into the lives of successful people of this era. Everyone knows the story of Thomas A. Edison and his quest to develop the electric light bulb. In his drive to his goal Edison tried and failed over a thousand times to develop the light bulb. When asked about the failures Edison replied “ we now know a thousand ways not to build a light bulb.”

Also consider the following from Ask.com about Edison and the electric light bulb:

“Edison actually had to invent a total of seven system elements that were critical to the practical application of electric lights as an alternative to the gas lights that were prevalent in that day.

These were the development of:

  • the parallel circuit,
  • a durable light bulb,
  • an improved dynamo,
  • the underground conductor network,
  • the devices for maintaining constant voltage,
  • safety fuses and insulating materials, and
  • light sockets with on-off switches.

Before Edison could make his millions, every one of these elements had to be invented and then, through careful trial and error, developed into practical, reproducible components.”With all of these obstacles would you have the perseverance to continue to work on the development of an electric light bulb? We are fortunate that Edison had the quality of perseverance in his make-up and worked through all the problems connected with the development and implementation of the electric light bulb.

What does this have to do with your success?

You have to develop the same mindset for yourself. You have to understand there may be setbacks in your journey and you have to be willing to work through them. You must keep your eyes set on your goals and not look at the obstacles which crop up in your way sometimes daily and even sometimes minute to minute. As the quote goes “you must keep your eyes on the prize.”

When you persevere you will find that you are able to keep moving towards the goals you set for yourself. Develop the mindset for yourself and you will succeed at any goal you set.

“Emotional Clutter” Can Block Your Success

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 3:00 pm

lawattractionfinancialcrisis Emotional Clutter Can Block Your SuccessDuring the 30 years I’ve been working with people to help them reach their goals, I’ve found that one of the greatest obstacles to their success is “emotional clutter.” Emotional clutter consists of negative emotions from the past, self-limiting beliefs, and the failure to enforce boundaries to keep other people’s emotional clutter from spilling over into your life.

Negative emotions are emotions like anger, sadness, hurt, fear, guilt, disappointment and anxiety. These are emotions we often feel when we have a negative experience. These emotions become part of your emotional clutter when you hang on to them long after the experience is over.

When that happens, we often react to a current situation with year’s worth of stockpiled emotions, leading us to react much more intensely than a situation warrants. If people tell you that you over-react, take a closer look at the negative emotions you may be carrying from past experiences. If you still feel angry about something that happened years ago, it is likely that your emotional clutter is getting in the way of your living in (and enjoying) the present moment.

Emotional clutter is also comprised of limiting beliefs. This is any belief that stops us or limits us. Usually they form in response to some negative experience, when we form that belief in order to reduce pain. Unfortunately, once you form a belief, it tends to become unconscious and out of your awareness. Even if the belief is negative, you look for evidence to make it true, even if that means ignoring positive things about yourself or your situation.

Examples of limiting beliefs are “I’m not good enough;” “I don’t deserve success;” “I don’t know enough;” “I can’t do it;” “I’m a victim; and so on. A limiting belief can be almost anything.

Just like physical clutter piles up and takes over your life, making it tough to see what resources you have, emotional clutter keeps you stuck in unsuccessful patterns of thinking and behaving.

The limiting beliefs can absolutely crush your success, because you subconsciously believe them. They limit you from being all you are capable of being and keep you stuck believing that what has happened in the past will determine what happens now.

People sometimes don’t recognize that they have emotional clutter, although they feel stopped by something. The negative emotions and limiting beliefs that make up emotional clutter can be difficult to eliminate because they are outside of our awareness. They are unconscious and operate very much like a computer virus, chugging away below the surface, messing things up.

Tackling your emotional clutter can help you get unstuck from the obstacles, emotions and beliefs from your past. It doesn’t have to be a long process. The key is to begin to look at your emotional clutter, and be willing to let it go.

Success is Being in the Game and Moving Towards Your Strategic Goal

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 2:00 pm

optimizationstrategies Success is Being in the Game and Moving Towards Your Strategic GoalWhat is success?  How does it look like?

I wonder how one would know if one has attained success?

And do you know success means to you? Is that where we throw in happiness and freedom and power and a sense of fulfillment? If that is case, then are you successful? In the corporate world, you will be talking about Key Performance Index, criteria, Score Cards, performance and evaluations methods and allowable variances. I wonder who sets these to be the benchmark anyway? So how do you know if you are successful?

That is a string of questions I have when I think of success. And I do not claim to have all the answers. I have done my share of book reading, seminars, conferences, workshops and talking to successful people and I see certain traits in them. The following comes to mind when I think of success:

I see successful people as having definite goals in their minds and they are consistently in motion and they are focused. They have a plan, they make the commitment to start acting on the plan and they consistently form habits and rituals that move them steadily towards the goals. They “move in spite of” and they do “whatever it takes”; they are committed to complete the course. Successful people know what they want, they have a game plan and they are in the game and working the plan consistently and persistently until the race is run, until the crown is won.

You might ask “what about reaching the goal?” I used to think that reaching the goal signifies success and everything else would not count. That is to say that of I do not make it, I fail. This is as simple as it can get. However, I am beginning to see it in a different light now and I invite you to consider this thought with me.

Scarcity thinking says there is one winner while the rest are losers.

Abundance thinking sees that there can be more than one winner. In fact everyone can be a winner; some just has more or arrives faster. And you may even want to ask who sets the parameters on timeline and critical success factors anyway? Are these absolutes? Infallible? Indisputable? And how do you know that?

Instead of defining success as arriving at the goal, I am inviting you to consider success as being in the game and working towards the goal with a definite game plan with 100% commitment. The reaching of the goal will come and it may be after we discover some new knowledge and learnt a few things along the way.

So are you successful? Happy? Fulfilled? Free?  I am likely to hear a “Yes!”

Can you be more successful? Happier? More fulfilled?  Experience more freedom and exhibit more power and be a bigger person? “You bet! Yes and Yes!”.

With this new view on success, you can now enjoy your success as you work towards more success instead of seeing yourself as not successful until you reach a certain target or point which you have set.

Success Starts in Your Mind

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 1:00 pm

focusblackboard Success Starts in Your MindReality is actually a construct within your mind. Your perspective on life is a construct built in your mind, based on your perceptions and beliefs. The mind is constantly adding information from the outside world, finding similarities and categorizing everything. When you then see that object for a second time, your mind is showing you something similar, something that you have created and have accepted as true, which you then accept as the object before you. Now, apply that same statement from an object to a human or animal. We, as humans, take note of similarities in order to categorize and remember. It may be features of a person, characteristics, or a name that is familiar to you.

Going one step further, what you perceive to get out of relationships, business deals, and experiences are simply a reflection of the energy you are putting out. If you are struggling to keep your business afloat and you come across as desperate for clients, you may not be adding as many new accounts as you like. Instead of worrying about how you are going to pay your bills, prove to yourself you will pay your bills by being confident and not focusing on the money you will make, but how you will help that client. By switching your focus, you are shifting your mindset from desperate for money, to being in a position where you do not need the money, but desire the need to help your clients as much as possible. This is not to say you do not need the money, you very well may, but to have that mindset is limiting you and holding you back. Focus on helping your clients succeed, and the money will come.

Visualization Can Help to Re-Shape Your Mind

Just how do successful business people and athletes create an edge above their competition? They use visualization, along with practice, to shape their mindset. Sports can be a great metaphor to business. In basketball, when starting out, it is very important to get the basics down; dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. Once you get your shot form the way that works best for you, you practice it, over and over, building muscle memory to the point where you can catch a ball and shoot, not consciously thinking about what you are doing, but rather letting your reflexes take control and your subconscious mind shoot the ball. Along with practice, visualizing the shot going in is extremely helpful. Imagining yourself in different situations during a game can create a sense of urgency, forcing yourself to make the shot that much more. Visualizing making the winning basket, what it feels like, how the crowd reacts, how your teammates react, how your family, the broadcasters, etc. helps to make the visualization “real” to you. The more “real” it becomes, the more likely you will make it happen in life.

In life, there are two strong characteristics that make up success; visualization and practice. By visualizing what you want, and who you want to become, it becomes real to you. Whether you realize it or not, you are subconsciously working towards goals that you have set for yourself based on how you think of yourself and the situations you are put in. Work to consciously visualize how you would like your life and business to look like, and you are more likely to attain those goals. Success is really nothing more than a reflection of what you consider successful.

Success at Its Best – Becoming a Better You

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 12:00 pm

magnifysuccess Success at Its Best Becoming a Better YouBecoming a success story is not about changing everything that there is about you. You want to be able to keep your personality and your unique nature, but increase your experiences that make you happy and feel like you are living the life that you really want to live. At it’s core, success is a perceived state of mind.

If you are doing what you want to in life, it does not matter how much money that you make or what kind of car you drive. The more that you can feel comfortable with being who you are and feeling like you are doing exactly what you want to with your life, the more you can describe yourself as being successful.

BECOMING A BETTER YOU…

Becoming a better you is about accentuating all of your good characteristics and allowing them to take over your life. When you can get rid of your negative emotions and trains of thought, you are able to allow the world to see the real you. And this real you is the part of you that will be able to create the life that you really want to live.

It all starts within our own minds and what we believe to be true about ourselves. When you can allow the world to see that and you can confidently be yourself, then you are a true success story.

Don’t get hung up on all of the material things all of the time. Know that the real you is just a better version of yourself. When you realize this and allow this feeling to shine through, the rest of the world will see that and your experiences will be greater.

Self-Management is Your Key to Enduring Success

Category: Money & Spirituality, What does it take? — admin @ 7:51 pm

lawattraction Self Management is Your Key to Enduring SuccessDuring the past several months I have been researching what the defining differences are between those people who are struggling in any area of their life and those who seem to sail though the days and years of their lives with apparent ease. Don’t get me wrong the one thing that both groups have in common is adversity, challenges, failures and problems. The differences between the outcomes for the two groups isn’t what is happening but what I refer to as – effective self-management.

Exactly what is self-management and how can a person improve in this vital area of life?
Let me break this subject down into five critical areas.

-Life outlook – Either the glass is half full, half empty, filling up or emptying out. You either bring a ‘yes I can or no I can’t’ to any and every situation and circumstance. You let your life journey be manipulated and controlled by other’s feelings, attitudes, prejudices or opinions or you live your life the way you want to live (assuming that your choices don’t cause harm to others.) You understand that your destiny and legacy are in your hands and not the hands of the government, your spouse or your employer or any other organization, entity or person. You accept the responsibility for your life outcomes and you don’t live with blame, resentment, guilt or ego control. You are optimistic about your future and not filled with remorse, fear or dread.

-Mindset control – You accept with dignity and poise what is within your control and you let go of those issues, mistakes, failures or poor judgments that you believe in hindsight, could have or should have been avoided. You don’t let other people’s emotional baggage dominate your thinking, decisions, behaviors or actions. You live in the present moment, embracing each experience and circumstance as a part of the unfolding life process or you live in the future or the past always either hoping and dreaming or regretting and agonizing. You understand the simple concept that you are responsible to people but not for them.

-Growth direction – You believe that if you are to succeed or to continue to succeed, no matter how you choose to define success, that your life outcomes and rewards are the direct result of your willingness to continue to grow, develop, learn and modify opinions and attitudes as new learning and experiences enter your life. You are on a constant path of self-discovery, one that you have chosen, not one that has been selected for you by someone else or some other group. You consistently invest in your current skills, new skill development and attitude improvement and modification as circumstances and situations warrant. Or, you spend many hours of your life lamenting how unfair life is and how you are a casualty of a life that you have no control over no matter what you do or what you learn.

-Adaptation intention – You refuse to let current circumstances become your destiny. Your mantra is to continue to adapt to, understand, embrace and make the best of whatever life throws in your path whether relationships, career, health or financial. Or, you see yourself as just another of life’s victims with no ability to learn from or control your life direction, circumstances or outcomes. You accept that life is a work in progress, that yesterday’s decisions and choices were just that. That they were made and based on the knowledge and experience you had at the time and that you are not destined to fall prey to them as life and all its diversity and complications continues to change and evolve.

-Re-invention attitudes – You are not stuck in the past. Past attitudes, beliefs, choices or goals that were set years or even weeks ago. Or you continue to hold on relentlessly to the dreams and desire of the past that for whatever reason are no longer feasible or even practical. You continuously look for new ways to create, become and change rather than let your history become your destiny. You can let go of old emotional baggage, expectations, beliefs and attitudes that are no longer in your best interests whether in your career, relationships or life in general.

That’s it. So how would you rate yourself, your life and your future based on these five simple yet straightforward principles.

Learn How to Make Money Online – No Time Better Than Now

learnhowtomakemoneyonline Learn How to Make Money Online No Time Better Than NowWith the economy in the state that it is in and the constant loss of jobs in our country, learning how to make money online can be very beneficial to many people who may be in danger of losing their job or just trying to cover the monthly bills. What many people do not realize is that there are millions of people making some sort of income online. Some people are making just enough to maybe pay a few monthly bills, while others are making a full time income working from the comfort of their computer.

Once you understand that making money online is a real possibility, you can begin learning how to do so, and in my opinion, there is not a better time then now to start. One of the main reasons why people do not attempt to make money online is the fear of technology. The computer scares many people who never really used one. This is very common for older blue color workers that are used to the hands on, hustle and bustle, clock in and clock out lifestyle. In many of these situations, having any real computer knowledge is not a must, so most of these people tend not to use a computer on a regular basis.

The thing is, when you take a look at everything that is going on with the economy. People are scrambling looking for ways to make some more money. If you are one of these people who is desperately looking for ways to make some extra income, you may want to consider looking at the internet as a source. I know you may be thinking to yourself “I don’t know anything about making money online” .Well, if you are thinking this, I am here to help you understand that learning how to make money online is not that difficult and that you can start doing it.

One thing that you should know when it comes to making money online is the fact that there are many ways that oe can make some real money online. Her are a few ways that you can start generating some cash on the internet.

Taking Surveys – This is good for those looking to make a little extra monthly cash. I would recommend finding a quality paid survey directory. The trick behind making money taking surveys is, you need to sign up for as many paid survey sites as you can. The more sites that you signup with, the more paid opportunities you will get. Taking surveys probably won’t make you a millionaire, but it can help you with monthly bills and help get you out of some debt.

Auction Sites – This is a great way to start making some money online and is super easy to do. All you need to do is sign up with top auction sites such as Ebay and Amazon. Gather up the things that you already own that you either no longer use or want. Once you gather these things, you can now sell them for pure profit.

Affiliate Marketing – I would say this is the most popular and profitable way to make money online. Affiliate marketing is when you market someone else’s product (s) and for every sell generated by you, you’ll receive a commission. The earning potential for affiliate marketing is limitless. It really all depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put in to it.

Learning how to make money online is not as hard as some may think. If you are serious about bringing in some more income, I would recommend taking at deeper look at the options listed above. Each money making method listed above can easily be learned and will get you some nice results. Just remember, you do not have to be a computer wizard to start making money online.
