Social marketing” width=”295″ height=”202″ />Two months ago, I had the chance to purchase Social Traffic Explosion before his release into the world of internet marketing. I look at all the videos and done everything to create the social marketing accounts like MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc… This is really a good product to learn how to do it specially if you want to use it beyond the personal level… with your business.
After creating the accounts, I concentrate myself on MySpace.
I was searching for friends to do some networking. At first, I noticed that I received a lot of messages from men who wants to date or a serious relationship. I really find it odd because I built my profile on practically a business point of view. I was talking about myself but in a really subtle way. I guess people don’t read enough, or they just don’t care! They send a message anyway! In my opinion, my problem here is that I put “single” in the status box ! That’s why I’m receiving so many invitations!
I hear you say to me: If you don’t like it put “married” in the status box and your problem will be solved!
Yes, it’s true. However, it would not be the truth! My second problem here is that I am honest. I cannot put a false status box! It’s not who I am! In addition, I am single, that’s my third problem! lolll
So, why not do a little of both, trying to find Mr. Right while I’m doing internet marketing work. For fun, here is a sample of the life of a single girl internet marketer and her quest to search for love. On the second day, I received a message from a guy, let’s call him Justin, I will use fake names for this post. Justin sparkle my interest due to his profile and his pictures. Great looking guy, sensitive, honest, caring and many more qualities that I am searching in a man. For about two weeks, we chatted practically each night. After a while, I found out that the pictures on his profile were NOT him. Actually, the picture was a successful model from abroad! He has the nerve to say that he is honest !!! Next…
After my initial shock of that episode, I tried choosing a guy… I am the kind of a selective girl! I can look at hundreds of profile and not finding someone interesting. It’s really safe to say that for example, if I look at 100 profiles, I will probably email one guy or maybe two if I’m lucky.
So, after hours and hours of searching, I finally found someone interesting. Cute guy, great profile, funny, interesting. Let’s call him, Kevin. On his profile, Kevin was really candid about a condition that he has. I will not go into details, it’s not really relevant. However, after reading all his profile, his condition for me was not a problem. He was specifically saying that his condition was a kind of a problem with the opposite sex. So, I taught, he will be ecstatic that a girl found him interesting beyond his condition. I send him an email, he replied, I send him another email… and nothing! No more news from him! Ok, let’s continue… Next!
The next day, I received a message from a new guy, let’s call him… Terry. Terry wrote me a message but his profile was really bare “naked”. No information at all on him. So, I find him cute and I replied with a really short message asking him to write me about his interest. The reply that I got was really surprising! He was so happy, he could not wait to show me his son, was really looking forward to being together etc… !!! What? No answers about the interest! My god! People really don’t read!!! Next…
The following message is really on the same lines. Hayden was a 27 years old guy. A little young for me, but really cute guy. I sent him a message, that he must have missed the age box on my profile. That’s it! I swear! His answer was a love letter! He woke up that same day thinking about me, and he couldn’t wait to be with me and he knows that I’m doing everything in my power to be with him! What in the hell, I am doing to these guys???? Honestly, I don’t know… NEXT!
I got some other stories that could be interesting but this post will take forever to read…
In a summary, if you are a man, and you want to find a girlfriend on MySpace or any social marketing website, take the time to make a good and interesting profile, be original, take good pictures of you… at least 3 or 4 is better on different occasions. Don’t think if a girl replies to your message it’s because she is THE one! Don’t think that if you chat with somebody that you are engaged for life! Be cool! Don’t have expectations! Take the time to know each other, and maybe you could meet, and at this point a real relationship could blossom into something more. (That’s my advice for ALL single men out there!) Glad to have all of this out of my chest! I feel better! : )
Any ways, I know that social marketing is a hot trend, and it is working for a lot of internet marketers. On MySpace my conversion rate on my profile is 58%… I think it is really high for a dating website! If I could find the way to convert my sales letter the same way… I will be a really happy girl !!! lolllll
