The Internet Marketing Survival Guide For the Uninitiated!

My taughts on this subject are at the bottom of this article… Pascale

Make Money OnlineThere are times I lay in bed at night thinking up new moneymaking ideas or business ideas. I am sure it is the same with you if your a fellow Internet marketer. As soon as I waken up in the morning I am itching to get to my computer and start working on my new idea.

Laying in bed dreaming of starting a business and making it a success is what many a Newbie (someone new to business) does. A hundred and one business and money making ideas whirl around in there heads, and they can’t decide which one to go with, so they go with two or three ideas.

I don’t need to tell you that being a ‘NEWBIE’ isn’t easy. But in order to succeed you need to have the courage to take on the ‘BIG GUY’S’ the so called ‘GURUS’ the major players at there own game.

Some people out there would say, “The right thing to do is go for the small niche market option and forget taking the ‘BIG GUY’S’ on because you can’t win in a month of Sundays”.

Well I would say forget the small niche markets that have limited potential. Yes you will more or less have the niche to yourself, but running an internet business is no walk in the park and your options will be limited..

For a start you have to decide exactly what sort of business your going to get involved in from the thousands of opportunities out there on the net. Do you take the easy route and go for the small niches that aren’t overexposed and run with them or do you take the difficult route and aim your business at the major niches?

You need to find out who is and where they are making the big money and just jump in at the deep end. Believe me yes it will be a steep learning curve but you stand more chance of making decent amounts of money from an over exposed niche than you would a small limited Niche market.

Also do remember the Internet is a huge playing ground and market that has plenty of room for everyone, even Newbies. Yes the big guys, the gurus may not like you stepping on there toes but hey, surely you want to be a guru yourself one day so don’t be afraid to take them on at there own game.

Yes in the beginning there will be times when you fail more than you succeed but as long as you keep plodding on and making sure that you learn by your mistakes then that is all that matters.

You see one of, if not the biggest mistakes a lot of Newbies make is that they make things harder for themselves than they have to be. Look there is no need to try to reinvent the wheel. Just do your research find what works and who is doing it and copy them. I don’t mean to the point of copy right infringement by the way.

That is the real secret to success in any business not just Internet marketing by the way.

If your a Newbie then you need to do a number of things in order to succeed.

1) Do your homework.

2) Find what works and copy it.

3) Pick only one business idea at a time to work on.

4) Don’t be a business hopper, hoping from one business idea to another, to another and so on.

5) Be patient and give things time to work. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

6) Never spend what you haven’t got.

7) Selling your own products is the real secret to success, take the time to learn how to create your own products.

8) Make sure that you learn from your own mistakes.

9) Never be afraid to ask for help and never think a question is silly or be afraid to ask questions you deem to be amateurish. We all had to start somewhere and yes we have all asked what we thought at the time was silly questions but if you don’t know something then how are you going to learn anything if you don’t ask.

10) Build up a resource of useful websites, products or services as you build your business. Always be looking out for things that can be of use to you now or in the future. Particularly if there free.

11) Never buy anything on impulse always shop around. If there is a product you come across that you want to buy then book mark the page so you can find it again and go away and see if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

The above is just a few helpful tips from someone with over twenty years business experience. Of course there is a lot more that you can be doing or learning but follow the advice above and you can’t go far wrong.

I can so relate, I was a newbie a few months ago…  It’s really overwhelming, too much information from different sources!  Who has the answers?  I know…  It’s hard to make the right decision!  They all say, their products are the best products ever created since slice bread…   YA!  Right!    But my main concern when I want to buy a product is:

Will this product help me get forward in my business?

(subtitle: Will this product help me have more knowledge to eventually make money online?)

I don’t care about the marketer, the publicity, the hype (anticipation), the price etc…   I just want a good product that will help me build a solid foundation for my business!   Sorry!  I am a practical and really focus girl!  I try to “zoom in” for results as precise as I can!  With the less time wasted!    The first product that has work is “magic” with me is Start Your Profits Today   If you are interested to have a foundation for making money online this product is for you.  Go check for yourself!

Enjoy!
