The Magic Law of Attraction is sometime a test of persistence. Being able to persist is an essential factor in transmuting your desire into reality in your world. The basis of persistence is will power. Will power and desire make an irresistible pair.

Lack of persistence is one of the major causes of failure. It can be overcome by effort. How easy that is, is determined by the intensity of your desire. Do you need to build a stronger fire under your desire?

How often have you heard: Winners never quit and quitters never win. Pick yourself up and start over again. ‘Stick-to-it-iveness.’ If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground.

Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on.” Thomas Edison said, “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”

There is no substitute for persistence. It is the insurance against failure. It is a state of mind, therefore it can be cultivated.

Each time your mind begins to doubt that you will achieve your desire, look at that doubt and thank it for sharing and forgive it and let it go. It’s just a negative thought and you don’t want it dirtying up your attracting power.

I have taught often enough that you must look at the source of that negative thought and eliminate it, but now I realize that you don’t have to go back to its source, just let it go from where you are now. It’s a belief that isn’t true anyway. Just forgive yourself for hanging onto it for so long, and just let it go.

Here’s how to cultivate persistence:

1. Have a definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment
2. Have a definite plan of continuous action–in focused thought
3. Close your mind tightly against all negative and discouraging influences
4. Make a friendly alliance with someone who will help encourage you to follow through

Make these four steps habit

• They lead to riches and freedom
• They guarantee favorable “breaks”
• They convert dreams into physical reality
• They lead to mastery of fear, discouragement and indifference

Mastery of the Magic Law of Attraction also means that you develop persistence. Some of your desires you will manifest rather quickly, others need your persistent effort.
